Prompt: Both poems by Robert Frost explore the passage of time and life’s changing moments. Write about a time when something in your life changed more quickly than you expected. How does this experience connect to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay”?

Prompt Response:  Alot of things in my life have changed much faster than expected, for example, people aging. I  have watched myself go through high school much faster than expected, friends graduate along the way, and everyone I know has begun to drive within the last year. n “Birches,” Robert Frost celebrates imagination as a way to escape life’s difficulties and reconnect with innocence. I was home with him and his friend when they were wrestling around, then I heard screaming. I came downstairs to find him bleeding from the back of his head.
