Describe something you will never fully understand.

 For me, something I will never understand fully is death. I know I have written about death before, but I think it is a very confusing topic for me, and it has so many questions surrounding it. Death is perceived differently by different religions and even by science. No one will ever be able to know because when someone dies, in most beliefs, either all consciousness is gone or you become something else being unable to speak to anyone about it. Death causes me to question religion, and whether it's all for hope or if some people have actually spoken with a higher being. Everyone will always feel different about death, and this is why I believe I will never fully understand it.

Summary- Death is something I will always question and struggle to understand.

Reflection- I think death is a hard topic, and anyone you ask would respond to you differently, making it a very difficult and unsure question for many.

  Prompt Response:  Growing up similar to "The Rockpile," I was forbidden from going on the train tracks near my home. I was always told it was unsafe for many reasons: trains, drugs, and dangerous people. However, as I grew, I did what most kids tend to do: not listen. Think about the vocabulary words from Lesson Two. Write about a time you saw or heard one of these words outside of the classroom — maybe in a movie, song, social media post, or book. Describe how it was used and whether the context helped you understand the word better.

I am familiar with some of the words in this lesson, but one sticks out to me more than others. Metamorphosis, I have heard used in many movies and even some books. But the most vivid memories I have of the word being used has always been in alien or zombie movies. It pointed me into the right direction with the word, but never gave me the full understanding. In many movies and books, I have seen the word metamorphosis be used, giving me a general idea of the word, but never a full understanding. Questions like these caused me to think I need to pay more attention to the vocabulary I observed from books and media.

Write about a dream that felt real.

  Prompt Response:  I often don't dream, but when I do, they can be very vivid and clear. I had a dream not too long ago where I was running for my life. I was with a friend of mine, and someone had approached us aggressively. We ran through a city, then led to a forest. The last thing I remember is jumping down a rock, then I woke up in a gasp of air. Summary: I had a realistic dream of running from danger. Reflection:  Dreams can be very vivid, sometimes even making us question reality.
