Describe a time you felt completely lost.

Prompt Response: I have only felt completely lost a few times during my life. For me, being lost can be mentally or physically. For example, in 9th grade, I dug myself into a hole by not focusing on school. When I started to see the impact on my grades, I decided that I finally had to do something about it. It seemed possible until I finally went through my assignments in each class, realizing it seemed never ending or impossible, it felt like being stuck in a hole. I lost hope often when I spent weeks trying to catch up while managing the new work I was being assigned. I had to stay focused, and in the end, I made it to my goal but just barely.

Summary: During 9th grade, I felt very lost mentally because of my own negative decision.

Reflection: Feeling lost is okay, but not giving up is the real challenge.
