Describe a time that you had an encounter with a homeless person, either directly or indirectly. What did you think and how did it make you feel?

Prompt Response: I have had many encounters with various homeless people. At my local gas station, I see this guy who goes by "Slinky" once or twice a week. He has lived in our area for many years, and I try to help him out as much as I can. Helping him makes me feel good because many people turn their heads when he asks for help. I often think about why or how he got to that point; however, I don't judge and respect him, so I will not ask.

Summary: I have a weekly interaction with a man named Slinky and help him out as much as I can.

Reflection: I always wonder how many people end up homeless and their story, and I try to help people out as much as I can.
