Prompt Response: Me and my best friend and girlfriend have a very close relationship where we understand each other. I think the relationship is strong because we are honest with each other and are very similar people. I think it can be compared to Chris in into the wild because of his opposite values of everyone else but still maintains close relationship with someone. For me I often prefer going outside and doing things while my girlfriend likes to stay in, but we are still able to understand each other.

Summary: Me and my girlfriend are extremely close similar to the bond of Chris and his sister with the understanding of one another.

Reflection: it is important to have someone to talk to and relate with that you ca trust.

  Prompt Response:  Growing up similar to "The Rockpile," I was forbidden from going on the train tracks near my home. I was always told it was unsafe for many reasons: trains, drugs, and dangerous people. However, as I grew, I did what most kids tend to do: not listen. Think about the vocabulary words from Lesson Two. Write about a time you saw or heard one of these words outside of the classroom — maybe in a movie, song, social media post, or book. Describe how it was used and whether the context helped you understand the word better.

I am familiar with some of the words in this lesson, but one sticks out to me more than others. Metamorphosis, I have heard used in many movies and even some books. But the most vivid memories I have of the word being used has always been in alien or zombie movies. It pointed me into the right direction with the word, but never gave me the full understanding. In many movies and books, I have seen the word metamorphosis be used, giving me a general idea of the word, but never a full understanding. Questions like these caused me to think I need to pay more attention to the vocabulary I observed from books and media.

  Prompt Response:  I often don't dream, but when I do, they can be very vivid and clear. I had a dream not too long ago where I was running for my life. I was with a friend of mine, and someone had approached us aggressively. We ran through a city, then led to a forest. The last thing I remember is jumping down a rock, then I woke up in a gasp of air. Summary: I had a realistic dream of running from danger. Reflection:  Dreams can be very vivid, sometimes even making us question reality.
