Prompt Response: My research topic being the War on terrorism is a very problematic and controversial topic because of course a very common agreement would be "Terrorism is bad". However, the real problems and arguments arise when it comes to what and how to handle terrorism. I find this extremely interesting because of all the different types of terrorism and solutions people come up with the topic is much larger than it seems and is full of issues. For example, the US has gone to war in countries like Iraq to target terrorist groups being harbored within the nation. Many saw this as good while others had many concerns with why we where in Iraq specifically. US soldiers also struggled to not kill civilians because that was the way that these opposing forces in Iraq hid themselves, so civilian casualties also fueled an extreme increase in arguments.

Summary: The war on terrorism is a topic full of controversy and harsh realities full of hard decisions on how to handle it.

Reflection: While completing this project I need to continue to read and form opinions from every angle.

Think about the vocabulary words from Lesson Two. Write about a time you saw or heard one of these words outside of the classroom — maybe in a movie, song, social media post, or book. Describe how it was used and whether the context helped you understand the word better.
